It’s again that time of the year. This is the time we make all our New Year resolutions. Promise ourselves that we will do better this upcoming year. We feel motivated to take on the year, list down all our resolution, promise ourselves to be relentless towards it and gradually the motivation fizzles out and we are back to our old lifestyle. Some of us don’t even know what is it that we really want. We just start following it because some of our friends are doing it or because it looks cool. Here are 6 things everyone must do to improve their lifestyle and possibly be a lot more productive in 2022.
Exercise Daily
As a goal, aim to workout at least 40 minutes every day. This can be divided into cardio, strength training, yoga and meditation. A physically efficient person is more productive. It elevates your mood, boosts confidence and adds more years to life.
Focus on sleeping well
Binge watching Netflix and instagram has almost become a household thing. This generally happens late in the night which results in less sleep, especially teenagers who sleep late and wake up early to attend university, Sleep deprivation has lots of health disadvantages. It reduces your productivity, weight gain, affects your focus, makes you feel lethargic throughout the day. Get your sleep cycle right and aim to sleep at least 7 hours every night.
Learn about investments
Learn about investing at an early age and start investing at least 30% of your total income. Diversify it into fixed deposits, mutual funds, shares and commodities. Invest according to short, medium and long term goals.
Read a book/Podcast
Reading is to the brain what exercise is to the body. Instead of watching Netflix and other social media read a good book or listen to a good podcast. Pick up from the best in their respective fields and put it into application.
Learn a new skill
Internet has created so many new opportunities that doesn’t require a degree or qualifications. Pick up an in demand skill, learn everything about it and start using it as a tool to generate some revenue.
Never give up
If you believe you’re good at something, chase it relentlessly. Never let anyone tell you this can’t be done or it is impossible. Don’t be afraid to fail. The best learning’s always come from failing. Take it as a lesson, improve on it and come out better. Fall seven times, stand up eight.
If you’re reading this, don’t just read it implement it, be patient and see how your life changes. Wishing everybody a very happy and productive 2022!!
